A clear, well-lit shot where faces look toward the camera. Close-ups and half-body photos give the most detail. Phone photos are perfect — JPG, PNG and HEIC all work. If a photo won't engrave well, we'll tell you before we make anything.

It depends on the size — each size on the product page shows its limit. Small sizes fit 1–2 faces, larger ones fit more, up to 15 in our biggest rectangle. Keychains and necklaces work best with 1–2.

By default we remove the background so people and pets stand out in 3D. If there are several people and you only want some of them, just tell us in the order notes.

Yes. Scans of old prints work well as long as faces are sharp.

It's an illustration of how your photo sits in the shape. Before engraving, a person prepares the photo by hand — cleans the edges, balances light and dark — so the real crystal usually looks cleaner than the preview.

Yes, on most sizes. Turn on “Keep the background” when you personalize: the people stay in 3D and the scene is engraved flat behind them. The price is shown before you add it. It's worth it for landmarks and scenery, not for plain walls.

While you try shapes and sizes, a copy goes to our server just to remove the background — it is deleted right away and never saved. We keep your photo only when you place an order, and we use it only to make your crystal.

No — a laser creates thousands of tiny white points inside the crystal, so your photo appears in silver-white 3D. It looks best in a dark room or on a light base.

Yes, free. Up to 150 characters, engraved under the photo on the front. Text isn't available on the Iceberg (its faceted shape gets in the way), on the smallest Mini size of some shapes, or on keychains and necklaces — they're too small to read.

Never. The image is sealed inside the glass, so sunlight, dust and fingerprints can't reach it. It will look the same in twenty years.

In 3D the laser builds your photo in depth, so faces have volume when you look from the side. In 2D the photo is one flat layer inside the glass — thinner pieces and a lighter price.

Count the faces in your photo: every size shows how many it fits. For one or two people Small or Medium is enough; for a family, go larger so each face stays sharp. The size guide shows every size next to a credit card and a phone.

The crystal looks good on its own in daylight. A light base makes the engraving glow in the evening or in a dim room. We match the base size to your crystal, so it always fits.

More laser points, so hair, fur and fabric show finer detail. Standard is right for most photos; Ultra HD matters most on large sizes and group photos. Its price for your size is shown when you personalize.

K9 optical crystal: solid glass that is exceptionally clear and hard to scratch. The image is inside it, not printed on the surface, so there is nothing to peel or fade.

Yes — just enter their address at checkout. We never put prices or receipts in the box, and tracking goes to your email, not theirs.

You're covered for 30 days from delivery. If something is wrong with the crystal, we remake it. For a refund, send it back in its original packaging; return shipping is on you. If it arrives damaged, send us a photo within 48 hours of delivery and we'll make a new one.

Write to us right away with your order number. We can change the photo, text, size or address until engraving starts. After the laser has run, the glass can't be changed.
