The engraving is made of tiny points inside clear glass. Lit from below, every point catches the light and the picture glows — in a dim room the difference is night and day.

Standard is the engraved crystal in its gift box. Both arrive without prices or receipts inside.

Before engraving we cut the people or pets out of the photo, so they stand in the glass on their own, in 3D. That’s included and suits most photos.

• Keep it when the place matters — a beach, mountains, a landmark, your home. The scene is engraved flat behind the people, who stay in 3D.
• Leave it off when the background is plain, dark or busy: it would only take attention from the faces.

Keeping the background adds $25 for this size.

A laser draws your photo with points inside the glass. Ultra HD uses many more points, and smaller ones — so the picture is denser and smoother.

• Hair, fur, lace and fabric show as fine detail instead of a soft shape.
• Worth it most on bigger crystals and on photos with several faces.
• Standard engraving is included and looks clear and bright on most photos.

Clear glass shows every fingerprint and speck of dust, and a crystal gets picked up a lot. The kit brings it back to a clean shine in a minute:

1. Take a pinch of the polishing powder and rub it over the glass.
2. Wipe it off with the microfiber cloth.
3. Mist with the purified-water spray.
4. Wipe dry with the cloth once more.

Every order already comes in a gift box. With gift wrapping we also wrap that box in the paper you pick — there are twelve — and tie it with a red ribbon and bow, so it can go straight to the person you’re gifting.
